Doha Bank was awarded the prestigious “Golden Peacock Global Award 2014 for Corporate Social Responsibility” for demonstrating utmost commitment to public welfare and social consciousness. The award ceremony took place in Mumbai (India) as part of the 9th International conference on Corporate Social Responsibility organized by the Institute of Directors (IOD) and attended by distinguished bankers, academics, environmentalists, economists, legislators and policy makers.

This includes creating a platform for schools to contribute to the socio-environmental improvement and intellectual development of the human society in Qatar and the world. This program will continually endeavor to integrate the “green culture” through the schools to become eco-friendly institutions; by taking practical steps towards a greener path and leaving less carbon footprint in the environment. We are also expanding this program across various geographies where we have a footprint.”
The Bank always maintains a well-defined Environmental Policy with the principles of “Reduce, Reuse & Re-cycle”. The Bank also runs various initiatives to support the State of Qatar’s “Go Green Qatar” – Examples include Beach clean-up, Dedicated Green Bank Website, Environment Friendly & Bio Degradable Credit Cards, Paperless Banking, Green Bank Task Force Committee, Annual Marathon (Al Dana Green Run), Public Awareness Campaigns through ATMs, participation in Earth Hour.
