Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a division within a bank that provides a range of services to corporate, GRE and commercial clients to facilitate their financial transactions.


Global Transaction Banking consists of 3 units;

  • Trade Finance Product Services
  • Cash Management Product and Services
  • Client Management Services and Implementation

The Global Transaction Banking Department’s main responsibilities are:

Trade Finance Product Services

  • Help to facilitate trade by providing financing solutions, risk mitigation tools, and trade advisory services to support clients in conducting cross-border transactions.
  • Provide guidance to Issue letters of credit with no referrals, a widely used trade finance instrument, to guarantee payment to suppliers upon meeting specified terms and conditions, thereby reducing payment risks for both buyers and sellers.
  • Support to handle documentary collections, where trade documents are exchanged for payment, ensuring that goods are released to the buyer only upon receipt of payment or acceptance of a draft.
  • Offer a range of products such as Receivable finance, Transfer able LCs, Trade Loans, Bank Guarantees & Bill Discounting to meet the financing and risk management needs of importers and exporters.
  • Ensure compliance with QCB as well as international trade regulations, sanctions, and anti-money laundering laws to mitigate compliance risks associated with cross-border transactions.
  • Assess and manage risks related to foreign exchange fluctuations, credit risks, political risks, and country risks to safeguard clients’ interests and ensure successful trade transactions.
  • Work closely with importers, exporters, and their respective counter parties to understand trade finance cycle, provide tailored solutions, and build long-term relationships based on trust and reliability.
  • Design interactive user-friendly banners, pup-up messages, SMS and emailers for corporate clients promoting value added services.
  • An upgrade in existing TADBEER / Mobile Banking for corporate clients will enhance operational efficiency, decision-making for businesses of all sizes and allows for better cash management and forecasting. This also offer integration with other business systems, streamlining financial processes and improving efficiency.

Cash Management Product and Services

  • Responsible for helping clients optimize their cash flow by providing solutions to speed up collections, streamline payments, and maximize liquidity.
  • Offer a range of payment services such as LFT, IFT, RDC etc. and corporate credit card solutions to facilitate efficient and secure movement of funds.
  • Help clients manage their liquidity by offering cash concentration, special rates on Fixed Deposits to centralize and optimize their cash positions.
  • Assist clients in managing their working capital efficiently by offering solutions such as receivables financing, Bill Discounting, and LTR
  • Help clients mitigate operational, liquidity, and fraud risks by implementing robust controls and secure payment solutions.
  • Leverage technology to provide clients with innovative digital Corporate online banking platforms, mobile apps etc.
  • An upgrade in existing TADBEER / Mobile Banking for corporate clients will enhance operational efficiency, decision-making for businesses of all sizes and allows for better cash management and forecasting. This also offer integration with other business systems, streamlining financial processes and improving efficiency

Client Management Services and Implementation

  • Responsible for establishing strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Design interactive user-friendly emailers, guideline, videos for corporate clients promoting value added services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor analysis to provide valuable insights to clients and help them make informed decisions.
  • Running Demo session with customers to provide awareness about the existing system as well as new developments.
  • Promptly notifying clients about any progress / update in the existing system by way of SMS , emailers and Pup-up messages in Corporate Online Banking / Mobile Banking platform.
